Fast path link to your favorite J/24

Skippers who have a web page for their boat and others can also have a direct link to that page listed on the primary navigation bar present on the left side of most pages like this one.  The link will allow anyone to quickly access their favorite J/24 page without having to click through the normal page sequence to get there. 

Favorite J/24 status is a personal preference applied individually only to those who enable it, i.e., one may link to one boat while another may choose a different boat for their special link, while others may not choose to enable this capability at all. 

Of course, one doesn't have to be a boat owner to enable this status on their computer.  While skippers decide what content to want on their page (boat and crew photos, races they plan to compete in, etc.), crew members and friends may wish to use this feature for quick access to the page.

The status is enabled by pressing the "Set favorite J/24 status" button located at the bottom of any particular boat's page.  When the button is pressed, it will disappear and a special link named for that boat will appear on the primary links list. 

Specifics to note

• If you want this preference on more than one computer, you must enable this option on each one.
• If you use more than one browser on the same computer (e.g., Firefox and Internet Explorer), you must likewise set this status while using each browser to have the link available for each.
• Choosing favorite status for a boat does not mean you are stuck with it.
  • While this option is specified for one boat, you may switch that status to another (without having to remove it from the prior boat) by pressing the "Set favorite J/24 status" button on your new favorite boat's page.
  • You may disable this feature entirely by pressing the "Remove favorite J/24 status" button appearing on this page when the feature has been enabled.
